I can't say enough great things about Joe Jack's Fish Shack! We went several times when in PV in May of this year. Great happy hours at 2-for-1. Delicious mango margaritas. Yummy food, good service.

The BEST part of the place is The Agave Room! It's a gorgeous little area upstairs that is dedicated to tequila tastings. High-end tequila tastings. I want to give a huge shout-out to Tex, who is a tequila master extraordinaire. When we hit PV in the low season, The Agave Room was closed for the season. But, when I posted how disappointed I was on a PV page, Tex emailed me within a few minutes, saying he was in town and would be happy to do a tasting for us!  We got a private tasting, that lasted about 3 hours, for around $70 per person, which included a vast array of tequilas, plus food.

Tex is extremely knowledgeable about tequila and he is passionate about sharing what he knows. We learned so much. It was one of the highlights of our trip!  Thank you, Tex! Hope to see you in May 2020 if you're in town!

This is another one of my favorite's in Puerto Vallarta. For lunch they have a nice upstairs/outdoor seating area. This also makes a great dinner spot though, too. When it's hot and humid out, their strong AC and cold towel service is just about the best thing you'll ever experience if you're a fat kid like myself.

All of their margaritas are good, but I particularly like their passion fruit margarita. If you're hungry, start off with their bucket of shrimp. Their chips and homemade guacamole are never bad choices either. The one thing you must get is their 4-sampler ceviche. This is EXCELLENT! My favorite entree is their whole grilled red snapper with roasted garlic. I've had this a couple times and it's legit.

Joe Jacks is one of our favorite restaurants in PV.  We return annually for the excellent food and fun vibe.

    BEVERAGE:
    Mojito - $5.75
The best mojito in town lives here.  Flavorful and strong, they also do a killer happy hour on these bad boys with a
2 for 1 special everyday from 12-5pm.  Highly recommended!

    Five Pepper Steak - $14.00
Thick-cut and topped with caramelized onions and peppers, it wasn't  spicy at all but savory and juicy.  Temperature was a perfect medium rare with a delicious pool of bloody juice.  A good helping of sliced potatoes came to the side.

I returned a few days later and had way too many mojitos and their mouth-watering BBQ Chicken in the middle of the day.  Oh, so good!?   Missed their octopus this year though.

    SERVICE:
Waiter was terrific as were the bartenders on my subsequent visit.

    TIP:
Definitely try to make reservations especially for dinner.

    OVERALL:
The crowds are there for a reason.

Great restaurant for a slightly upscale dining experience. Prices are reasonable and the menu is 90% seafood based. I really enjoyed the ceviche (shrimp with fresh coconut). The mahi mahi was some of the best I've had. The male servers were super cute!

I wanted to try something outside of my norm and the red snapper did not disappoint. The flavors were spot on! Big flavor in every bite. The fish was big enough for two people. The fresh salsa was delicious as well as the guacamole and fresh chips. I came with a party of 9 and everyone's food was delicious!! The service was amazing. The servers are very attentive and helpful. We came at lunch time and were seated immediately on the beautiful roof top. This place is  AMAZING!
